We've been planting up a storm lately. First, we planted about 1/4 acre of potatoes and over 1,000 onions. Our next round was beets, cabbage, collards, broccoli, lettuce, kale, senposai, swiss chard, etc. Now, we're working up even more ground, some of which will be cover cropped to build up the soil quality for summer and fall plantings. As we empty the greenhouse of spring seedlings, we make room for even more tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, herbs, and other plants!
The hoophouse is coming along nicely. Soon we will be putting on our plastic covering and getting ready to grow. We've had many helpful volunteers come out and help us on the hoophouse as well as planting. Below are some photos of what we've been working on lately. It feels really great to be out in the sun and getting stuff done!
