Hello, friends!
As you know, we wrapped up our first season as “Six Boots” just before Thanksgiving, when our 28-week CSA program ended. It feels great to have some time to recharge, work on winter projects (like improving our deer fences), and get ready for the spring. While we are in the thick of winter and the ground is frozen, it is already time to start thinking about the bounty of warmer months. We would like you to take the time now to consider where your food will come from this year. We have been pouring over our seed catalogs and hatching plans for our 2014 growing season that will be full of fresh, tasty, and nutritious veggies. We hope that you will share in this bounty with us! Check out our newly updated "CSA Program" tab to learn more about how to become a CSA member this year. While you're at it, look at the "Order T-Shirts" tab as well!
We're also looking for one to two hard-working interns (a couple, perhaps?) to farm with us during the 2014 growing season. If you know of anyone who loves being outside and gardening and is willing to work for room and board, plus a small stipend, have them send us an e-mail for more information. Each of us got our start in agriculture by interning with other farmers, so this will be a great, practical learning experience that can eventually lead to a career in farming. Spread the word!
We hope that you're having a great winter. If there is anything else you need, feel free to send us an e-mail!
